In 2018, the Mexican textile industry broke its record in exports and experienced double-digit growth. Closeness with the US and the existing free-trade agreement, along with the current protectionism in the US market against Asian imports, have positioned Mexico as a key player for the US textile market. This chapter shines a light on a sector that has been traditionally overlooked but that still has managed to succeed.
