Description

Mexico has a strong oil and gas supply chain that was born and built around PEMEX’ requirements across the years. Now, this supply chain (national and international) has the challenge to comply with the requirements of IOCs and independent operators that are making their way into Mexico’s upstream sector. This means putting adapting each lesson learned across the years and implementing best international practices in every activity or business niche in the current Mexican market. Doing so is more complicated than it looks, given the amount of investment required to scale up and build stronger business models that comply with the industry’s strict requirements. Nevertheless, Mexico is now in a privileged position to strengthen its supply chain and be able to comply with local content requirements in every stage of the life cycle of the E&P contracts.
