Description

Globally, around 90 percent of the companies are family businesses and while many might be public companies, they are still controlled by a single family. Though most family businesses tend to be SMEs, there are some that have managed to survive through time, grow and compete directly with larger corporations. This chapter presents family businesses that have successfully made the leap between the first and the subsequent management generations. It also explores their complexity and the challenges they face.
